About Stitch Craft

A better way to remake clothing

We redesign, alter, and upcycle clothing with careful attention to fabric, fit, and finish. Every project begins with an assessment, so the work stays realistic and clear from the start.

Garment remodelling with purpose

Stitch Craft helps give garments a second life through thoughtful remodelling, precise alterations, and creative reuse. We work with pieces that need a better fit, a fresh shape, or a new purpose.

From vintage clothing to sentimental favourites, we review each item before confirming scope, concept, and quote. That keeps the process transparent and the result aligned with the garment's condition.

What we value

Principles that guide every project

Our work is shaped by precision, transparency, and respect for the garment already in your hands. We aim to make each project practical, wearable, and thoughtfully finished.

ST

Assessment first

We start with a garment review so the quote reflects the actual fabric, construction, and fit requirements. That keeps expectations grounded before any work is approved.

RC

Material-aware work

When possible, we match original thread and trim, but only if suitable materials are available. If not, we explain the options clearly before proceeding.

AP

Approval before extras

If a redesign needs extra steps, we ask for approval before moving ahead. That way the scope stays clear and the finished piece follows the agreed concept.

RV

Final review

Every finished garment is reviewed again at collection so fit and finish can be checked carefully. Small adjustments are handled with the same attention as the main work.

Our story

Built around careful remake work

We built Stitch Craft around practical craftsmanship and honest project planning. The goal is to remake clothing in a way that makes sense for the fabric, the fit, and the person wearing it.

01

Respect for the original garment

The studio opened in 2021 with a focus on tailoring, clothing alterations, and garment redesign. Founder Layla Al-Hassan shaped the service around careful consultation and measured decisions rather than rushed promises.

02

Clear scope before work begins

Each garment is checked for construction, condition, and available material before a concept is approved. That helps us decide what can be altered, what can be reused, and where the fabric places natural limits on the result.

03

Careful review at collection

Clients come to us for remodelling that keeps useful parts of the original piece while updating the shape, fit, or function. We also handle written alteration scopes and approval before any additional work.
